Holiday Recipes

Food plays such an important role in our holiday celebration and even if there isn't much money in your purse right now, you want to prepare something special be it for Thanksgiving, Christmas or any other holiday. That's why I asked the Hillbilly Housewife readers to share some of their best frugal holiday recipes.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays... I enjoy the whole concept of giving thanks for the food on our dinner tables and the wonderful people that surround us. And when it comes to frugality, this is the perfect holiday. There are no presents to buy and stores and supermarkets compete for your shopping attention by offering the lowest possible prices on all your basics for the perfect Thanksgiving meal from turkeys to ham and potatoes to pumpkin pie filling.
