Crockpot Chicken Ala King

  • 3 Cups chopped cooked chicken or turkey
  • 1/4 Cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 Cup chopped celery
  • 1 Can mushrooms pieces – (4 oz), drained
  • 2 Cans cream of chicken soup – (10 oz ea)
  • (or use cream of mushroom soup)
  • 1 Package frozen peas – (10 oz)

Combine all ingredients except peas in crockpot. Stir to mix well. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 7 hours. About 1 hour before serving, turn to HIGH and add peas. Serve with biscuits or toast. This recipe yields 4 servings.

    I tweaked this recipe a bit so I didn’t have to run to the store. Used leftover rotisserie turkey, 2 shallots (out of onions), 8oz fresh mushrooms, 3 cans cream of mushroom soup. My husband said it was the best turkey a la king he ever had. Thanks!
