Speedy Pat-in Pastry

For those busy days when you want pie, but not all the mess.
Put directly into a 9″ pie plate & mix with a fork:
1 1/2c. flour, 1 1/2 tsp white sugar, 1/4 tsp salt.
Combine slightly less than 1/2 c. veg. oil & 3 Tbsp cold milk in a cup. Beat with a fork until creamy. Pour all at once over dry ingredients & mix with fork until it is dough. Push dough with your fingers to line bottom & side of pie plate evenly. Continue with your favorite pie filling recipe or bake @ 425 for 10 minutes for a baked shell.

    Two cups flour with half teas[oon and half cup Corn oil with half cup milk makes two crusts. Mis wet into dry and take less than half out for top crust. Press bottom crust in pan and bake ten minutes to keep it from getting soggy. The corn oil keeps it from shrinking, For every day I just pat the top crust into a disk to almost cover the filling with al little space or put between wax paper sheets and roll out to look nicer. Bake at 350F until filling is done( knife in the slits tells all) Cover with foil if it gets too brown before apples or other filling is done. It is easy. A cup, a fork and a pie pan are all you need. And of course pie plates and forks.

    I found a great recipe for a pie crust. It tastes just like a regular pie crust and it’s sooooo easy !!!! I now make pies since I found this recipe. =)

    1/4 cup water
    1/3 cup oil
    1 cup self rising flour ( 1cup flour 1TBS baking powder 1tsp salt)

    Mix water and oil, bring to boil, remove from heat and stir in flour.
    Pat into pie dish. you can bake this if you need a baked pie crust.
