This drink is full of veggie flavor and will give you lots of great energy and curb your appetite for an entire day. I use whatever veggies and fruit I have handy, but a favorite is Spiced Veggie Breakfast Drink
Veggies:
- 2 sticks of celery
- 2 medium to large carrots
- the stalks of cabbage, broccoli or cauliflower (use the rest in other ways)
- one apple
Put veggies in blender and puree until all the chunks have disappeared. You may need to strain to remove all the chunks. Put the juice back in the blender and then add:
- 1/4 tsp. tumeric
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (or to taste)
- dash nutmeg
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup of yogurt
- 2 ice cubes (if wanted)
- dash vanilla extract
Pulse and blend until desired consistency is achieved. If you want it thicker, just add a few more ice cubes.
