Wow, I would never have thought of that! It takes us a while to get that many peels so I might just toss them in the freezer.

This is so easy! I used this to clean off my range. I have used professional degreaser and it would get it ok clean but this orange de-greaser worked SO much better. I did use an SOS pad to get the really tough cooked on stuff, I’m not much of a clean as you go kinda gal! Thanks!

I love this idea – cant wait to try it. My question is… how long does it last.. how long can i store this.. seems like it would go bad fairly quick

Thank you so much for sharing the Orange Peel De-greaser. I plan to pick the oranges off my tree tomorrow, make a fruit salad and then make the de-greaser.

I tried the de-greaser and it worked great, but about a week later when I went to use it again it smelled like rotten fruit… did I do something wrong?

It’s been a year and I don’t see an answer to the question of how long this concoction will last. Should it be refrigerated? Should it be made in a smaller batch to avoid waste? How long does it keep? Has anyone figured this out? I’d love to make some, but don’t want to waste my time, since I have very few surfaces that I would use it on.
    Thanks.

I made this and let it boil a bit longer so it was more concentrated. The 2 cups of water reduced down to about 1 1/2 cups. I used it up on a couple big cleaning jobs in a few days. But, just to be safe, I kept it in the refrigerator. Even though the orange peels boiled I still think it’s a “food product” so thought it best to refrigerate. I’m thinking I wouldn’t keep it any longer in the refrigerator than I would orange juice – two weeks maybe at the most. That’s why I made a small batch, so it wouldn’t have a chance to spoil.

      Hope this helps.
