Editorial

Hello again and welcome to another edition of the Hillbilly Housewife Newsletter.

Here we are at the beginning of a fresh new month.  Now that January is past, are you still thinking about your New Year's Resolutions, or has enough time gone by that they are starting to dim.  We've been discussing the most common resolutions during the last few newsletters and I hope you have found some inspiration and help.  Again, I'd like to remind you to click on this link and grab your FREE guide to help you through your big spring cleaning chore - Room By Room Cleaning Guide

This week we're featuring a few articles that explore the whole subject of housecleaning.  I have found that there are different cleaning styles for different people.  So, I ask you... what is YOUR cleaning style?  It's more important than you might think to figure out how you like to clean before you start.  The articles give you tips about your cleaning style and how to use some creative and unique strategies to get your cleaning underway with less frustration.  Be sure to scroll down and read these fun articles.

Along with cleaning comes organizing. My friend Tracy Roberts of MomsInABlog.com has put together a wonderfully detailed and easy to follow step-by-step guide to help you get your home totally organized in just 30 days! This comprehensive guide walks you through the process with daily tasks that are easy to complete and give you great satisfaction in the process. Be sure to take a look at this fantastic guide - 30 Days to an Organized Home.

I know you've been waiting to hear more about the re-launch of the Hillbilly Housewife Club. This membership site is still in the development stages, and I will let you know what happens as we work out the details. Please stay tuned and watch right here for updates.

Every week in our recipe sharing section, we feature a recipe submitted by a reader. Please be sure to take a look at this week's entry. Also, please continue to submit as many recipes as you want each and every week to HBHW. We only ask that your recipes be YOUR recipes and not copied and pasted from another source. This is just a fun way to make sure your recipes get noticed.

This week's quote and story are about the real meaning of homemaking.  The quote reminds us that no matter how much we shine and polish our houses, it's not how clean your house is that makes it a home.  The story may be an old fashioned view of what a woman desires, but it warms the heart of the homemaker in me.  Please take a moment to read and enjoy.

Those are my thoughts this week. As always, I welcome your comments and suggestions. Feel free to email me at susanne@hillbillyhousewife.com

Warm Regards,

Susanne - The Hillbilly Housewife

I Highly Recommend 30 Days To An Organized Home

30 Days To An Organized HomeSomething that’s made a huge difference for me as I clean and organize my house is the “30 Days To An Organized Home” ebook by MomsinaBlog.com.

This comprehensive book has helped me work my way through organizing and decluttering every room in my house - and in 30 days!

The daily tasks make it easy to follow along and the step-by-step instructions kept me from getting overwhelmed with the task at hand.

You’ll also find helpful printable checklists. These definitely helped me stay on task. The checklists also helped me track my organizing progress which was a great help!

The tasks are divided into four weeks, with one task each day. It's easy to look ahead to the next day, or the next week, and plan what you need for that particular task. What is the benefit to this design? You accomplish something every single day - without getting overwhelmed. And if you're like me and have put some things off, the feeling of finally getting that job done is well worth the few dollars for this book!

I recommend 30 Days to an Organized Home because I know it works. Get your copy today by clicking on this link or go to www.hillbillyhousewife.com/organizedhome and check another New Year's Resolution off your list!

Inspirational Story

A PRAYER FOR WOMANHOOD
~ Grace Noll Crowell ~

God, give each true good woman
Her own small house to keep.
No heart should ache with longing,
No hurt should go too deep.
Grant her age-old desire,
A house to love and sweep.
Give her a man beside her,
A kind man, and a true,
And let them work together
And love, a lifetime through.
And let her mother children
As gentle women do.
Give her a shelf for dishes
And a shining box for bread,
A white cloth for her table
And a white spread for her bed,
A shaded lamp at nightfall
And a row of books much read.
God, let her work with laughter
And let her rest with sleep.
No life can truly offer
A peace more sure and deep.
God, give each true good woman
Her own small house to keep.
