1 can tomato soup
1 can of water
1 can baked beans (or equal amount homemade)
1 medium onion chopped
1 packet taco seasoning
1 can kidney beans drained and rinsed
1 green pepper chopped
1 package hot dogs chopped
Cook onion and green pepper in a little oil of choice until just tender. Add rest of ingredients and one soup can of water. Cook for about 20 minutes. Serve topped with sour cream and shredded cheese. Corn bread is really good with also.
Found this recipe years ago in a ad, but can not remember where I got it.
Hope you enjoy. I some times add other beans to this recipe or even left over ones form another meal.

hi the soup sounds good will have to try it.do you know a recipe for taco seasoning ,so i don’t have to buy the packets.thanks melody
Melody- I’ve made the following taco seasoning mix for several years and everyone loves it. I buy all the seasonings from the bulk food section and it’s VERY inexpensive (as opposed to over $1/batch for the packets). I at least quadruple the recipe and store in a jar, all ready for my next batch of tacos.
1 tbl chili powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper
Mix all ingredients well. Add 2 tbl.mix, plus 1/2 cup water to 1# browned ground beef (I use ground turkey) and simmer 5 minutes. Store airtight. Yum.
Hi Jill thanks for the recipe.Melody;)
Great soup. I just the packet b/c it’s quicker. I do tweak mine a little, I put jalapeno’s in mine. Thank you!
