Frugal Jewlery Box

For those of us who have quite a bit of decorative jewelry and/or lots of pairs of earrings, I have sorted and paired items in a clear plastic tackle box. You know, the one box with the various plastic dividers and you can purchase these tackle boxes in all sorts of styles and sizes depending on your needs. These boxes also work well for jewelry making, kids crayons and arts and craft supplies, etc. They’re durable, portable, easy to open and stay securely closed. Also easy to pack and/or transport.

A great and decorative way to store hook style (pierced) earrings is to take a cheap framed canvas (you can get then in $2 shops) poke holes into it (in pairs) – you can be orderly or random according to your personality and hook in your earrings. The pair you want is easy to pick out and you have a new piece of art!

I use those plastic boxes made for cross-stich floss to store necklaces so they don’t tangle up with other necklaces. You can put the matching earrings in the same place to keep them together.
