Delicious Homemade Cinnamon Raisin Bread

Can’t you just smell this bread baking already? Cinnamon raisin toast is a great way to start your morning. Most bread machines have a beeping signal to let you know when it’s time to add ingredients such as raisins. Don’t add them before or your raisins will become hard. Also you might be tempted to add more cinnamon than the recipe calls for but it’s not advised. Adding extra cinnamon could cause your loaf of bread to be heavy and short.

  • 1 2/3 cup of water
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup of nonfat dry milk
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 4 cups of bread flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp active yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups of raisins

Place all the ingredients in the bread machine baking pan as recommended by the manufacturer.
Select the sweet cycle and loaf size and close the lid.
When the bread maker beeps for adding ingredients add in the raisins.

When done, serve with warm homemade butter and a delicious cup of coffee!

I followed these directions exactly & this turned out awful. It rose too high, stuck to the lid of the machine, & is under baked. This recipe should be cut in half.
