Thankyou so much for the wassil recipe. My mother used to make this around the hollidays for my 3 sisters and me when we were little. Now that we are all grown with our own families she doesn;t do it any more, and since she isn’t the type to write down a recipe,I have been looking for one for almost nine years now. I am absolutely delighted!

  2. We make this with hard cider, like Bulmers, instead of apple juice. The age-old “cheer” that goes with it is “Wassail! Drink Ale!”.

  3. Tom R says:

I make this in 30 cup percolater coffee urn I inherited from my grandmother. Much faster, it keeps the wassail warm and the spigot makes serving easy.
