Last year there was a post on how to use your oven as a slow cooker and cook a turkey overnight. My turkey turned out fantastic!! But, I lost my directions. Please help!
Cooking Turkey
From The Hillbilly Housewife: Freezer Cooking Made Simple
Are you still eating out, ordering pizza or stopping at the Drive-Thru window on your way home to get dinner? Let me show you how simple it is to put delicious, homecooked meals on the dinner table in less time than it takes you to order takeout. It's healthier and a lot less expensive and best of all, it won't take much time at all to prepare these homemade freezer meals.

I put my turkey in at 10pm at 275 degrees f. At 10am I take it out and it is wonderful. I wrap my turkey in foil to hold in the moistness. This works for a stuffed turkey and one that isn’t stuffed.
Here is a link to cooking turkey overnight. I just saw this the other day, so when you needed it, it came to mind. I hope this is helpful. I’m cooking mine this way this year too! Claudia

I am gonna try this slow cooking method (dont care what all the usda websites say)
My family has been cooking turkey using the roasting bags for years. We have also used foil……. Just cooked a 23 pounder this past Sat. Wash the bird well. pat dry, put into bag and 2 T flour and make a few slits in bag. top with one stick on oleo or butter. salt and pepper well. close bag and put into a large roasting pan. bake at 350 for an hr. and turn down to 300 and bake all nite or all day. Will be nice and golden brown and very juciy. We then bone it and put meat into crock pot to keep warm. We don’t like our turkey sliced neatly. This is a simple way to cook. For dressing we put it into a seperate pan or another baking bag and cook in oven. easy way to cook for your family and hoilday.
