Happy Friday Morning! One of my favorite things about the weekend is that I have a little extra time to do two of my favorite things: Reading and Knitting. With my kindle I can do both at the same time (provided it’s a simple knitting project). In preparation of this weekend, I may have gone a little overboard with this week’s free kindle books. You’ll find quite a few cookbooks along with a few other books that looked interesting. I hope you enjoy my picks for today.
Don’t forget to check each book and make sure it is still free by the time you download it. Prices can change throughout the day. Don’t have a kindle? Amazon has a variety of Kindle Apps to read these books on your computer, tablet or smartphone.
By the way, did you see my latest kindle cookbook yet? It’s all about winter soups and stews, a staple in my meal plans during the winter months. You can download it on Amazon for $2.99. Amazon reviews of the book would be much appreciated.
Who doesn’t love a nice gooey, cheesy dip? Since this is Superbowl weekend, I figured this would be the perfect free cookbook to start with on this cold Friday morning. Dips are great for snacking, as an appetizer and anytime you have friends stop by.
You know I love preparing vegetarian dishes even though we are not a vegetarian household. This cookbook includes recipes for breakfasts, lunches, dinners and desserts. It also has a short introduction to living as a vegetarian that was an interesting read.
I know next to nothing when it comes to Puerto Rican cuisine. But I always enjoy exploring new dishes … I’m sure I’ll find a few interesting ones in this cookbook.
Let’s continue the ethnic theme for just a minute with this dim sum cookbook. One of these days I want to go to a good restaurant that serves dim sum. Until then, I may just experiment with making my own at home.
I love the concept of this book which combines recipes and short book reviews. I added quite a few new books to my reading list. The photography is amazing and I was introduced to quite a few interesting new blogs.
This will be my fun history read for the weekend. I’m looking forward to get a glimpse into the kitchen during WWII.
And here’s historical read #2. I watched a documentary on Mr. Kellogg a few years ago and am looking forward to reading this.
This isn’t a cookbook but a great introduction to learning more about living gluten free. I love the fact that it includes several free printable downloads.
Here are a couple of other free kindle books that caught my eye this morning. These aren’t cookbooks but they look like interesting reads.
Did you know that you don’t need a kindle device to read these books? If you decide to buy one, I recommend this basic model. I’ve had one for quite some time and can highly recommend it.
I will do my best to share more free kindle books with you regularly as time permits. Subscribe to the blog or like the HBHW Facebook page to get updates each time I add more free reads.
